Exciting New Beginnings!!! I'm so excited
I am so excited!!!
When I first started planning my move abroad, I set one major goal: find a property that was equal to or even better than the property I once pursued at 2801 Pinto here in Las Vegas. That property checked so many boxes with its 21 bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, nightclub, and diner all on one site. Finding something comparable felt like searching for a needle in a haystack.
Well...I found not one, but two incredible opportunities.
For me, the heart of any hospitality business is the kitchen. Great food brings people together, creates memories, and keeps guests coming back. While guest rooms can always be added or renovated over time, an established commercial kitchen and restaurant operation provides an incredible foundation to build upon.
Today is going to be a very productive day. I'll be speaking with brokers and bankers, exploring financing options, and continuing my research into international banking. Every conversation brings me one step closer to making this vision a reality.
I'm also thinking this would make the perfect birthday trip a chance to celebrate another year of life while scouting what could become my future home and business location before making the move abroad.
The work is just beginning. This week I'll be focused on:
Revising my business plan
Updating my operating agreement
Reviewing funding strategies
Researching vendors and suppliers
Refining my menu
Completing training
Continuing market research
There is so much to do, and honestly, I love every minute of it.
One thing I've learned recently is how much taking care of myself matters. Going to bed at a reasonable hour and waking up at 5:00 a.m. instead of 2:00 a.m. has made a tremendous difference. I'm more focused, less stressed, and have the energy to tackle these ambitious goals.
This new project has given me renewed excitement and motivation. It reminds me why I became an entrepreneur in the first place.
I'm not going to reveal too many details just yet, but I will say this...
It's on the beachfront.
That alone makes me smile.
If everything aligns, this could become more than just a business it could become a destination where people come to relax, enjoy incredible food, experience genuine hospitality, and create lasting memories.
Please forgive me if I seem consumed by business lately. That's simply who I am. I enjoy building, creating, and bringing ideas to life.
Above all, I thank God for every opportunity placed before me. I don't take any of it for granted. I believe the talents and abilities I've been given come with a responsibility to work hard, remain faithful, and use them wisely.
The journey continues, and I can't wait to see what God has in store next. ✨

Building on a Proven Foundation
One of the biggest decisions I've made while planning this next chapter is that I don't want to reinvent the wheel. My business model is inspired by Shaggy's in Biloxi, Mississippi.
They created an atmosphere where great seafood, excellent service, and a relaxing waterfront experience come together naturally. That's the type of experience I want to build upon.
I am thinking about adding Seafood Fries, Seafood Nachos, Seafood Mac N Cheese, Salmon stuffed with lobster and crab and my favorite Seafood Beach Balls.
The opportunity I'm pursuing is already an established business, which means I'm not starting from scratch. My goal is to preserve what customers already love while making thoughtful improvements that reflect my own culinary style and business vision.
For me, the heart of the entire experience is the food.
The bed and breakfast component is important, but guests will remember the meals they shared, the conversations they had over dinner, and the hospitality they received. A great meal creates lasting memories, and that's the standard I want every guest to experience.
Since this region is known for lobster and fresh seafood, I'm already thinking about how I can introduce a few of my own signature creations. Over the years, I've developed recipes and menu ideas that blend Southern comfort food with fresh coastal flavors. I don't want to replace what's already successful I simply want to enhance it with dishes that encourage guests to return again and again.
This isn't my first time planning a restaurant. I've spent years developing concepts, writing business plans, creating menus, and studying the hospitality industry. What makes this opportunity different is that it's a feasible project. Instead of building everything from the ground up, I can take an established operation, maintain its reputation for quality and service, and grow it strategically over time.
Education has always been important to me. I'm pursuing a double major in Business Administration and Paralegal Studies, along with a double minor in Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts. Those programs have strengthened my understanding of business operations, hospitality, and the legal side of entrepreneurship.
At the same time, this journey has reminded me that experience has tremendous value. Years of serving customers, developing business concepts, managing operations, and solving real-world challenges have taught me lessons that can't always be found in a textbook.
I've even found myself questioning how much those degrees matter compared to the experience I've already gained. My conclusion is that they complement each other. Education provides the framework, while experience teaches you how to adapt, make decisions under pressure, and lead with confidence.
As I continue researching, refining my plans, and preparing for this opportunity, I'm reminded that success isn't built on one achievement alone. It's built through faith, preparation, lifelong learning, and the willingness to keep growing.
I'm excited to see where this journey leads. One step at a time, the vision is becoming clearer, and I'm grateful for every opportunity to build something meaningful.
