I Know My Assignment
FYI: This is the STRIPPER now DOCTOR I sent on TOUR with LUKE in 1993 to help pay her tuition, she never paid me!
There comes a point in life when you stop chasing distractions and start chasing purpose. I know my assignment, and I'm more focused today than I've ever been.
My dream has always been to own an all-inclusive bed and breakfast that offers guests the complete experience a destination where people can relax, enjoy incredible food, beautiful accommodations, and unforgettable hospitality. I truly wanted everything to work out with the Pinto property, but sometimes business simply doesn't make financial sense.
The asking price exceeds the appraised value. That means I can't obtain traditional financing without taking on additional debt through seller financing or a second mortgage. That's not a risk I'm willing to take.
My budget is $2 million, and I want to invest wisely. I want to own the land, own the property, and purchase a location that already aligns with the vision I've been building for years. If I'm making that kind of investment, the property has to offer everything I've planned.
One thing that isn't changing is my business foundation.
C.A.V. Enterprises LLC is established in Las Vegas, and Las Vegas will remain my business hub. I've worked hard to create businesses that are self-sustaining so I can travel while continuing to work remotely. That flexibility wasn't built overnight it took planning, discipline, and faith.
I still have dreams outside of business.
There are countries on my bucket list that I want to explore. There are two cruises I still want to experience. And with my lease ending in April, I know this next season of my life is approaching quickly.
Even with all the unexpected drama this year, I've learned some valuable lessons.
I've learned to protect my space.
I've learned to protect my peace.
I've learned to be intentional about who I allow access to me and why.
I've stopped texting, and honestly, I feel so much better.
I've stopped stressing over people who weren't stressing over me.
I've stopped sending unnecessary emails unless they're business-related because building a solid foundation requires focus, not constant conversation.
I've even stopped looking for someone to talk to.
This blog has become my therapy. It allows me to document my journey, record my experiences, organize my thoughts, and reflect on how far God has brought me.
People often ask me if I get lonely.
Sometimes I do.
When that happens, I'll walk to the store, say hello to a neighbor, or spend an afternoon thrifting. Then, after about an hour of being out in the world, I'm usually reminded why I enjoy the peace of my own space, and I happily return to my safe haven.
Today is all about one thing studying.
I'll be studying until I can't keep my eyes open because every exam I pass brings me one step closer to the future I'm building.
As for the distractions that occasionally arise, I'm choosing not to let them derail my focus. I trust that the appropriate channels can address any concerns if needed, while I continue investing my energy in my goals instead of unnecessary conflict.
One thing I've learned is that people often make assumptions without knowing the full story. My career has included opportunities to help open doors, mentor others, and contribute behind the scenes in ways many people will never fully understand. I don't need validation from people who don't know my journey.
I don't need to prove my value.
I know what I've built.
I know what I've accomplished.
And I know where I'm going.
If you've heard stories about me, I hope you'll take the time to form your own opinion rather than relying on someone else's version of events.
My focus remains exactly where it belongs on my faith, my businesses, my education, my future, and the life I'm creating.
I know my assignment.
Now it's time to keep building.
