FROM THE BIBLE

I am NOT a part of New Birth #PERIOD

Open your MF Bible to #AHAB and #JEZEBEL

BITCH THE MOMENT YOU PRESENT YOURSELF LIKE A HOE
I START RESPONDING TO YOUR ASS LIKE A HOE
YOU NO SELF ESTEEM #BITCH

The letter to the church in Thyatira, found in Revelation 2:18-29, commends the church for its love, faith, service, and perseverance but severely rebukes it for tolerating a false prophetess, "Jezebel," who led believers into sexual immorality and idolatry by eating food sacrificed to idols, a compromise common in that city's trade guilds. Jesus promises judgment for Jezebel and her followers but offers rewards, including ruling with Him and the morning star, to those who remain faithful, hold fast to their beliefs, and do not adopt her corrupt teachings.

Commendations (Praise)

Works: Jesus knows their love, faith, service, and perseverance.

Growth: Their later works are greater than their first.
Condemnation (Criticism)

Tolerance of Sin: They tolerate "the woman Jezebel," who claims to be a prophetess but teaches and deceives people into sexual immorality and eating food sacrificed to idols.

Compromise: This compromise likely relates to the city's prominent trade guilds, which often involved pagan rituals and feasts, forcing Christians to choose between their faith and business/social life.

Warning & Promise

Judgment for Jezebel: Jesus gives her time to repent, but she refuses; He will cast her and her followers into great suffering unless they repent.

For the Faithful: To those who don't follow this teaching, He lays no other burden but to hold on until He comes.

Rewards for Overcomers:

Those who overcome and keep His works to the end will receive authority over nations, rule with an iron scepter, and be given the morning star.

Key Themes

Faithfulness vs. Compromise: The central tension is faithfulness to Christ amidst pervasive worldly influence and idolatry in a commercial center.

Spiritual Insight: Jesus's description of Himself (fiery eyes, bronze feet) emphasizes His piercing knowledge and readiness for judgment.

Call to Holiness: The letter serves as a stark warning against spiritual apathy and the acceptance of sin within the church.
