RE: Judicial Complaint and Request for Review
Valentine v. Pippen, et al., Case No. 2024L002166 (Law Division)
Dear Chief Judge Evans,
I am writing to respectfully lodge a formal complaint and request an immediate investigation into the actions taken in the above-captioned matter.
On May 2, 2025, Judge Kathy M. Flanagan issued a ruling in my case, despite not being the assigned judge of record. The case was and remains under the jurisdiction of Judge Maire Dempsey in Courtroom 2209, and I have consistently appeared before Judge Dempsey as ordered.
At no time was I served with a Notice of Motion or given any opportunity to respond or appear before Judge Flanagan regarding any motion in this matter. This proceeding occurred without my knowledge or consent, in violation of my due process rights.
This unauthorized ruling is procedurally improper and, respectfully, should be vacated. I have filed a judicial complaint, and I intend to pursue an appeal of this ruling immediately.
I am requesting that your office review and investigate this matter thoroughly. A ruling issued without jurisdiction, notice, or opportunity to be heard undermines the integrity of the judicial process and prejudices my rights as a pro se litigant.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I am available should you require any additional documentation or statements.
You see I filed a "Change of Venue" last year, knowing I would not receive a fair and impartial trial. Given the new activity, I can simply amend and file a new claim in Clark County.
This time I can add the NBA and the Bulls given the history, just like I moved my claim from Los Angeles to Chicago. Thank you for giving me the motivation to fight until the end.
