MY HOME OFFICE IS AT 85% #CHAIR #FILING #CABINETS #CORDS
My office is officially 85% complete, and I can finally see the vision coming together. At this point, I only need two black filing cabinets and an executive chair to finish pulling the space together the way I imagined it. I’m still waiting on additional equipment and furniture for bedroom number two, but progress is progress, and I’m learning to appreciate every step instead of rushing the process.
Little by little, I’m also working my way back into the kitchen. But let’s be honest this is Las Vegas, home of 100 degree days, and it’s simply too hot to be standing over a stove all day. My current menu consists of unlimited salads, sandwiches, and light meals that keep me cool and comfortable.
One thing about me, though I make everything I enjoy from scratch. I’ve learned that store-bought treats rarely satisfy my taste, so creating my own food has become both therapy and comfort.
The remaining month of May is dedicated to preparation. Preparation for my launch. Preparation for stability. Preparation for peace. Most importantly, preparation for myself.
I’ve noticed something recently: things that once triggered me emotionally no longer carry the same power. That says a lot about growth. Healing doesn’t always arrive loudly. Sometimes it shows up quietly in your ability to remain calm in situations that once disturbed your spirit.
I’ve also allowed myself to speak with a therapist. I’m still not completely sure how much it’s helping, but I know that trying matters. Showing up for yourself matters. Sometimes healing starts simply by being willing to talk.
During this season, I’m dedicating time to getting my life and health back in alignment physicals, dentist appointments, eye exams, and other services that help me put my head back on straight mentally, physically, and emotionally. I’m choosing myself without guilt.
Now, that’s my plan for my life.
